Bitches Making Fetti (B.M.F) The Miss Mouth Times’ Rick Ross STREETMIX
BRAINS & BODY
CHERIE JOHNSON
CHERIE JOHNSON: You are very accurate. I like to keep things simple and as easy as possible for everyone involved no need to complicate things. Time is money and money is time.
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: At this point in your career, would you be resigned to just producing or is there still goals in acting you would like to pursue?
CHERIE JOHNSON: Absolutely not! Producing is my new challenge acting is my passion I started producing to secure my opportunity to make sure my acting goals could be met. There are so still many characters for me to play. The past 6 years with me taking control of my own career I have begun to explore life outside of the nice girl next door other people had me stuck in a box playing.
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: That is your current project via acting or producing and who are the players involved?
CHERIE JOHNSON: Still pushing sales for my 1st DVD film that I wrote, produced and starred in “I Do…I Did!” besides that I am filming a feature titled “Lights Out” with Rody Piper, Doug Jones and Sally Kirkland. I am a detective and Rody Piper is my partner. I also have my 1st book coming out later this year. It’s titled “Cherie On Top!” 28 years in the business I have a lot of stories to tell.
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: Let’s switch gears and let me get in your business a little bit. Okay? Alright.
CHERIE JOHNSON: I’m an open book…………… shoot!
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: Are you married, single, divorced, dating, or just have a friend and he (she) are enjoying the benefits as well?
CHERIE JOHNSON: I am happily singly taken ( I have never been married but I am in a relationship. I love how you tried to sneak and ask with a man or a woman. I am in a relationship with a man. Is it that I come off strong so you think I wear the pants in my personal life too? LOL
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: They say a woman’s undergarments are a reflection of her personality. Which would better reflect Cherie; Thongs, French Cut, Tango, Boxers, Bloomers and why?
CHERIE JOHNSON: I would have to say thong even though today I have on boy shorts. My panties & bra always match it’s a must. I believe sexy starts on the inside.
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: What makes you happy? No, forget that, what makes you smile every time you think about it, butterflies even?
CHERIE JOHNSON: My family makes me happy! Looking at where we come from (Duquesne, PA right outside of Pittsburgh) and where we are now makes me smile because my life could be very different. I am from an old steel town that has become poverty struck since the mills closed down. My Grandfather open and closed the Dorothy Steel Mill. 8,000 people in one neighborhood became jobless in one day. My immediate family is all doing very well for them selves. They didn’t let the obvious destroy us. Everyone pushed forth and has made great lives for their selves. I am very proud of the Johnson/Goss name. Ok and Food, I love me some good ol Soul, Cuban, or Jamaican food.
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: Name three things you would change about Hollywood?
CHERIE JOHNSON: I would move it to the east coast, I’d make the food better, and I’d make people more straightforward and genuine.
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: Being of Black and Puerto-Rican descent, do you feel any moral or cultural obligation to either ethnicity especially being a woman?
CHERIE JOHNSON: I don’t feel any obligation to anyone except myself. I live completely free with only one person to make happy and that’s me. My ethnic makeup doesn’t define who I am. Although other people might try and use it to define me. I do believe that what you put out into the universe is what you get back so I do try to put out positivity. I educate and fight for things I believe in. The best part of the career that God has given me is I have a voice that gets to speak to millions at a time. So why not try and change things about government, homeless, hungry and the abused. While I might play a character that smokes or drinks I will not endorse alcohol or cigarettes.
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: Do you still keep in contact with any of your co-stars from “Family Matters”? I see Darius McCrary on “The Young and Restless” these days.
CHERIE JOHNSON: Darius just joined the cast But Bryton McClure (little Richie) has been on Y&R for years even winning a daytime Emmy for his work on the soap! Bryton and I have stayed very close. Watching him grow up has been a blessing he has always held a very special place in my heart. Bryton and I also do work with the Alzheimer association together bringing awareness to the youth that what they do now affects their future. Shawn Harris (Waldo) and I have been friends since we were 9 years old. We are always talking he is one of my closes friends and confidant. He will forever be my Wallypop!
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: Is there anybody you would love to work with? Explain.
CHERIE JOHNSON: I have a long list of people I would love to work with but Sally Field. Sally has been in the business since she was a child and over came the whole child star thing very successfully. I have been a fan of hers for as long as I can remember and I pray my career parallels hers. I think she is a woman I could learn a lot from. Sally is not just an actor but she is also a writer, producer, director. I admire how she has not limited herself. With my list going on Sean Connery (because I have a crush) Robert De Niro the mystery and intrigue. Julia Roberts I worked with her brother Eric so why not go full circle. Sandra Bullock I admire women who control their own destiny.
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: One last personal question, would you consider doing an adult film since you are so close to San Fernando, California by way of the Pacific Coast Highway? BE HONEST CHERIE!!
CHERIE JOHNSON: I have been accused of doing one since I was 15 years old. Who’s to say if I have or have not already done one? I guess it depends on your source maybe it just hasn’t hit the market………. Yet! LOL joking Grandma…….Just joking.
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: Congratulations on being the first recipient of “THE MISS MOUTH TIMES” Brains & Body section. You definitely got the body and its obvious your brains supersede that. Good luck in the future we will be talking again. Oh, by the way, would you have dated a guy like Steve Urkel if he were rea
CHERIE JOHNSON: HELL NO!!!!! Oh can I curse?
BRAINS & BODY
JAMISHA
INTERVIEW BY BRIAN J
The star and host of the hottest teen talk show on radio “THE JAMISHA SHOW” Jamisha Lawton. (Saturday 11AM-12PM Praise 1590AM WRXB Tampa-St.Petersburg- Clearwater market)
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: Hi Jamisha, your show has been on the air less than three months now and it is the hottest teen show on radio. How does that feel?
JAMISHA: I feel like a star! (Laughing) I mean this is the best thing to me to be able to speak to so many different people and let the teen’s voice be heard.
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: What was the inspiration or who was the inspiration for you to start this teen talk show?
JAMISHA: Jesus, my mom and my teens. I want to bring families together and help people build a relationship with god. That is my goal and I know I am reaching it.
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: I know your still in high school and out for the summer I might add. How has the response been from your peers at school? Is their hating going on?
JAMISHA: Everyone is so supportive, I get a couple of “ haters ” here and there but that’s what makes me push myself harder to prove them I can do it with or without your support eventually they will see I am doing this for a purpose.
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: I just love the fact your show is rooted in God’s word but at the same time still talk about topics relevant and important to teens. Is that your mission or vision for the show?
JAMISHA: Yes, I want those that don’t know God to get to know him but to still keep teens interested and tuned in to my show.
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: For the record, are you 14 or 15 now?
JAMISHA: I am 14 turning 15 July 24th .
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: If you could have anyone host your show with you, who would it be and why?
JAMISHA: TYRA BANKS!!! Because she is my idol she has her own talk show as well she’s so outgoing and goofy it would just be a GREAT opportunity and privilege.
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: Just Curious, how did you feel being a teenage girl and hearing about what transpired between Chris Brown and Rihanna?
JAMISHA: I was shocked! I never thought something like that would happen. But it seems like he learned from his mistakes and they both moved on.
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: IF you had a chance to speak in front of one million teenagers and tell them one thing, what would be that one thing? Think about it carefully before you answer.
JAMISHA: Go for your dreams and never let anyone discourage you. Just remember that you can do all things through Christ that strengthens you.
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: Favorite gospel singer or group?
JAMISHA: Mary Mary J
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: Favorite food or drink?
JAMISHA: Food: Macaroni and Cheese, Collard Greens, Cornbread, Salmon, Fish and Crabs.
JAMISHA: Drinks: Water, Sprite, Pink Lemonade.
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: What was the last movie you saw?
JAMISHA: Daddy’s Little Girl.
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: Tell our readers something about Jamisha that they might find shocking?
JAMISHA: I LOVE to fish and catch crabs.
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: In closing, I know you also model and I heard through the grapevine you are an aspiring singer. Would you care to confirm or deny those rumors?
I confirm it. I have been modeling since I was three and JAMISHA: I only sing when I have to like at church or for my mommy.
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: How can someone find out more about Jamisha or where your next appearance is going to be?
JAMISHA: On my website www.thejamishashow.com and on MySpace, Face Book or Twitter Jamisha.lawton@yahoo.com
THE MISS MOUTH TIMES: It has been my pleasure talking to you Jamisha. May God bless your journey and provide you with constant encouragement.
JAMISHA: Thank you so much and I know he will J
MISS MOUTH MEETS HER MATCH
MISS MOUTH: What’s popping babes, how are you?
CHARLAMAGNE: I’m blessed and highly favored. Allah Loves Me!!
MISS MOUTH: How is life after Philly’s 100.3 The Beat?
CHARLAMAGNE: It’s the same it’s always been. Charlamagne Tha God is going to always be Charlamagne Tha God. My quality of life never changes.
MISS MOUTH: I’ve been fired on several occasions and usually the other employees walk around acting all shady because everyone knew it was going down but me. Was that your experience also?
CHARLAMAGNE: Not @ all. In this situation it happened so quickly that it was a shock to everyone. Nobody saw that coming I’m sure upper management knew but not the other employees like myself.
MISS MOUTH: Do you still talk to Kendra G, Shamara and the rest of the gang?
CHARLAMAGNE: Yes Kendra G is my sister and Shamara even though she worked @ the rival station that’s my peoples. She was my peoples before I worked @ 100.3 The Beat so I’m not the type to stop dealing with folks because I’m your competition or because we don’t work together anymore. Those folks.
MISS MOUTH: You still reside in Philly?
CHARLAMAGNE: I actually never lived in Philly. I would drive 2 hours to work every morning. I got a spot in North Jersey, a couple of spots in South Carolina so @ the time I was living in North Jersey so I would just hit that Turnpike. Allah told me don’t make that move just yet and I was actually about to move the week Allah decided it was time for me to move on from the Beat.
MISS MOUTH: Has Beans even reached out to you since the incident? And if so, what is your relationship with him now?
CHARLAMAGNE: I never knew Beans before the interview, so why would I expect him to reach out? I’m glad he reached out that Friday morning to do the interview to begin with. That interview was GREAT for my career and my brand. If you didn’t know Charlamagne Tha God before that you know him now.
MISS MOUTH: I’m a fan of his, but quite personally I’m getting tired of him whining about Jay. It’s gay. How do you feel about him potentially signing to G-Unit?
CHARLAMAGNE: It only gets gay when people stop caring. I think it’s @ the point were people have stopped caring. The only way it could be news now is if Jay responds which he won’t or maybe he will later when it’s beneficial to him and not Beanie. To answer your second question I don’t think it matters who you sign to nowadays. If you’re not popping on your own doing it by yourself to begin with it’s not any brand in music that can make you hot. Only Beanie can make Beanie hot.
MISS MOUTH: I just thought about something Charlamagne. Diddy hates you, Jay may have gotten your black azz fired are you at least cool with 50 Cent?
CHARLAMAGNE: Does it matter? Allah Loves Me. That’s the problem with the game people so busy wanting relationships with these folks and they don’t care about your black ass. The only relationship that matters to me is the one I have with God. I dig 50 though he don’t seem like an industry sucker to me. Plus we share the same astrological sign and I’m cool with people around him. Salute to Nelson and Jeremy. They show me a lot of love on www.thisis50.com
MISS MOUTH: It seems like you got tons of press after The Beat fired you, but your departure (I’m tired of saying fired babes) from WBLS was bigger news in my opinion. What was the complete story behind that?
CHARLAMAGNE: I think because of the circumstances surrounding the Beat firing. Like people knew it was shady. My numbers were good; I was bringing the station a lot of press, so people knew it had to be something funny. Did Jay get him fired? The situation @ WBLS was just a layoff, economy was fucked up around the end of 2008. They fired the whole staff of the Wendy Williams Experience along with two other jocks Champagne and Vaughn Harper who had worked their for 20 plus years. You know the media only cares about the drama….
MISS MOUTH: Speaking of WBLS, I loves myself some Wendy Williams. How did she become your mentor and has your relationship with her always remained platonic? Of course it’s always remained platonic.
CHARLAMAGNE: Her husband Kevin Hunter is my manager and one of my best friends. She became my mentor when they grabbed me up from South Carolina and made me co host of her show. She’s my peoples in and out of the business. I love her to death…..
MISS MOUTH: I know that you have to be extremely proud of her being inducted into The Radio Hall of Fame. Do you plan to make a cameo on her new talk show?
CHARLAMAGNE: I’ve been on her show a few times. I do a man on the street segment on her show. I actually presented her with her [Radio Hall of Fame] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6S39bw9La1Q)
MISS MOUTH: Do you know if the rumors of her husband being very adulterous and abusive towards her are true? And did the two of them really try to “do in” (then rival New York) radio personality Miss Jones?
CHARLAMAGNE: False, False, False, False, False.
MISS MOUTH: You’ve had some very controversial interviews on WBLS. Did you ever get to smash Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child? I heard that interview. She was practically throwing “the p*ssy” in your face. LMAO, even Wendy picked up on it.
CHARLAMAGNE: There is nothing controversial about my interviews other than the fact they are always honest and truthful. I guess being that the industry is full of lies and falsehood the truth could be considered controversial. I love Tenitra (Michelle) that’s my homegirl and I have never smashed that. I actually just saw her when I was in Chicago went to meet her @ the hotel we had some wine in her room. Wait don’t take that out of context it was like 4 or 5 of us in that hotel suite. She’s a lovely person…..
MISS MOUTH: I typically ride hard for anything “Team Charlamagne,” except when comedian Andrew Dice Clay ripped you a new asshole. I was ROTFLMAO. I’m sorry babes I had to jump ships that day. Were you expecting that?
CHARLAMAGNE: Yes. That’s Andrew Dice Clay but it was also a lot of editing done in that piece. That’s why Dice Clay said Charlamagne got me with a few things but I still one. Dice is a legend, he’s a beast and it wasn’t about me winning it was about me getting that reaction from him. That’s what made that piece entertaining….
MISS MOUTH: Lil Duvall says that you’ve been overly spiritual since your firing from The Beat, is that the case?
CHARLAMAGNE: My name is Charlamagne Tha God. I don’t call myself the God because it sounds good. I used to do youth ministry for Muhammad Mosque Number 38 in Columbia SC. I was raised Jehovah’s Witness; I study Islam anybody that knows and listens to me thru my 10 years in this business knows that’s my whole foundation. Duvall was making a joke, which was quite hilarious.
MISS MOUTH: Are you a five percenter?
CHARLAMAGNE: I’ve studied the 5% teachings of Islam. God is a Greek work derived from the Aramaic words Gumar Oz Debar which means wisdom, strength, and beauty. The first letter of each word was used by Greek students in their identification of their all wise ancient Egyptian masters. So I’m just calling myself what I am. Another reason I call myself the God. Genesis 1:26 says God created man in his own image according to his likeness. So to be God’s and Goddesses is what he wanted for us. It’s a mind state that I strive for everyday. Even though I fall short at times, but what would you rather me call myself a dog? I never understood why people would want to call themselves a dog. No disrespect to Snoop just never understood it dogs lick they own asses….
MISS MOUTH: Was interviewing the minister Louis Farrakhan a humbling experience for you?
CHARLAMAGNE: Without question. The Minister is the ONE divided by none. If people would actually listen to the minister’s words and the things he says we would all be better off for it.
MISS MOUTH: I know that you’re into music, tell me a little about that and your website.
CHARLAMAGNE: Well I’m in the middle of revamping my website Stupiddopemoves.com but the music is all South Carolina based. That’s where I’m from and we have a music scene down here that is popping. So I’m just striving to bring that to the forefront. Salute to Dj Frosty.com, Dj Chuck T, Dj Blord, Boss G, Trapstar, A Rizzla, Lil Brod, Marly Mar, Primo Star and everybody else pushing the SC movement….
MISS MOUTH: What is your sign, I’m curious?
CHARLAMAGNE: Cancer [NOW WHY DID I KNOW THAT DUDE WAS A CANCER……SHOUT OUT TO ALL OF THE CANCERS, WE RUN THIS BYATCH!!!!
MISS MOUTH: I’m popping loads of sh*t right now, but I’m a huge fan of yours. I love that you care more about expressing your opinions then trying to befriend these celebrities like other radio jocks. How shady is the “radio game” really?
CHARLAMAGNE: Radio is fucked up. Most of these executives only care about the bottom line which is money. They don’t care about the actual people that listen to the station they care more about having a relationship with the peoples whose music they play on the station. They care about what record labels think not about what the community thinks. The radio game is really shady I will be expounding more on it in my book “Pull Your Damn Pants Up” coming out on Wendy’s book imprint in 2010.
MISS MOUTH: What are your predictions for the future of commercial radio?
CHARLAMAGNE: Commercial Radio is gonna continue to be full of jocks that are really robots that have no opinions of their own. Program Directors who don’t really program they just play whatever research and the higher-ups who don’t live the culture tell them to play. Then when people look around and it’s only 1 urban station per market they are going to say to themselves what happened?
MISS MOUTH: Honestly, your candidness makes you extremely sexy, but definitely not “smashable.” You talk too gyat d*mn much!!! That’s probably why Michelle passed it up.
CHARLAMAGNE: Have you ever heard about anybody I fucked? Exactly…….
MISS MOUTH: I know that you write for Ozone Magazine, how did that come about?
CHARLAMAGNE: JB called me one day and asked me do I want to do it. I love writing; Ozone could help me expand my brand so I said yes.
MISS MOUTH: Ozone’s founder Julia Beverly is receiving tons of heat from the article she published on Gucci Mane’s manager Johnnie Cabbell. What is your take on the whole situation?
CHARLAMAGNE: I don’t care. I’ve done business with Johnnie before and he’s always been straight up with me. I know he adds a little tax on to his bookings for himself but that’s part of the game. I’ve never had any issues with Johnnie before every time I booked an artist thru him they were I needed them to be. So we straight….
MISS MOUTH: I love your web series “The Hood State Of The Union,” with crazy azz Lil Duvall. How did the two of you link up?
CHARLAMAGNE: Thank You. I really don’t know he peeped what I was doing, I peeped what he was doing and we said let’s come together and make something happen. I like Duval that’s my guy. Plus we not in the same lane I’m a media person, he’s a comedian so we not competing he does what he does I do what I do and it works.
MISS MOUTH: The two of you come off as “frenemies,” is there a genuine friendship there?
CHARLAMAGNE: Yes. That’s my guy. We are both very honest with each other and we can take each other being honest with each other. Do we piss each other off sometimes yes, but to me that’s genuine shit. I would rather have somebody around me telling me the utmost truth then somebody around me telling lies.
MISS MOUTH: Isn’t he the one that started the whole trending topic on Twitter about you getting fired?
CHARLAMAGNE: Yep. He called me and said you want to be a trending topic? I said hell yeah, see we get it. These other dudes out here don’t get it. You can’t hurt us because we inflict pain on ourselves because it all benefits our brands at the end of the day.
MISS MOUTH: Did he and Atlanta comedian Shawty work out their indifferences?
CHARLAMAGNE: Duval not thinking about Shawty…..
MISS MOUTH: What about you and Wale? He was talking real greasy.
CHARLAMAGNE: God bless Wale. I don’t understand these artists who let another man’s opinion get them upset. All I said was I think Wale dresses like a dork, and he got upset. When people say shit like that to me I don’t even care. I think they need to stop caring it’s just and opinion…..
MISS MOUTH: Did you know that you have a Twitter addiction? You are always online
CHARLAMAGNE: I sure do. I’m always online, I’m always in these streets, it’s all work. Plus it’s all relevant to the brand of Charlamagne Tha God.
MISS MOUTH: My dawg Jazzy F. Baby calls the drama that takes place on Twitter, “birdness,” is that where you get most of your topics for Hood State Of The Union?
CHARLAMAGNE: Our topics come from life in general……
MISS MOUTH: You roasted Tila Tequila for being what I like to call a “Smash Bunnie,” and your auto bots annihilated Rocsi’s ear deformities. Have you ever been confronted in person by any of the celebrities you’ve insulted?
CHARLAMAGNE: Never been confronted by any of the celebrities and don’t plan to be and if I am you will hear about it. Salute to Rosci though that was one of those times I was out of line. I tend to be and asshole @ times….
MISS MOUTH: “Hood State Of The Union” did a hilarious skit called “The Light Skinned Awards.” Did the two of you get any criticism or negative feedback from it? That tends to be a touchy topic for folks.
CHARLAMAGNE: Not really. It was mindless entertainment, something to get a laugh from the people. Nothing more nothing less….
MISS MOUTH: Define a “basic broad?”
CHARLAMAGNE: Any chick you see on love of Ray J, or Real Chance of Love is a Basic Broad.
MISS MOUTH: Are there any “basic broads” masquerading in the industry as “five stars,”? If so, care to name a few?
CHARLAMAGNE: Cassie, Foxy Brown, New York, even though she came from one of the “I Love” shows so she doesn’t count. The thing about a Basic Broad though it’s only so long they can pretend.
MISS MOUTH: And what f*cking rock did yall pull Serious Jones’s azz out from under? I haven’t seen dude since Smack lol?
CHARLAMAGNE: Ha, Ha, Serious is on his grind. That’s my guy….
MISS MOUTH: Charlamagne, you are originally from South Carolina, but uninterested in working in radio down south. Why?
CHARLAMAGNE: I never said I was uninterested in working radio down south. It just has to be the right situation. I love being down south. I’m a country boy. South Carolina, North Carolina Atlanta. I’m all in if the right situation presents itself.
MISS MOUTH: You have a pretty boy vibe, do you get that often? It’s ironic because most of the men I meet from S.C are. With the exception of Charleston of course, those muthf*ckas are GOONS!!!!!
CHARLAMAGNE: Charleston is the home of the GOONS. That’s my birthplace North Charleston is the number 8 most dangerous city in America. Check my arrest record that goon shit is in me. I’m older so I move different now. I’m getting the feeling you want to sleep with me?
MISS MOUTH: Whatever lol!!!!!
MISS MOUTH: I honestly wish you continued success with all of your endeavors. And keep pissing people off because it is truly entertaining?
CHARLAMAGNE: Thank you baby. I appreciate that.
MISS MOUTH: Charlamagne, do you prefer red wine or white?
CHARLAMAGNE: White. Moscato, but I’m a liquor drinker. Patron and Remy.
MISS MOUTH: Cool, whenever you’re down in Tampa, make sure to swing through my Gossip Grill. I will get “you right” with that authentic Floridian cuisine.
CHARLAMAGNE: I’m gonna take you up on that offer baby.
MISS MOUTH: But Duvall has to stop f*cking with everyone before he can swing through
CHARLAMAGNE: I’m a make sure I tell him that! Peace and blessings to you baby.
TRIPLE Cs
While on the road promoting their debut album “Custom Cars & Cycles” Triple C took time out to stop and talk with “Florida’s Most Notorious Gossip Diva” Miss Mouth.
Miss Mouth: How are you fellas doing today?
Gunplay: Blessed beyond belief
Miss Mouth: Dude, your locks are sexy. They aren’t fake like Lil Wayne’s right?
Gunplay: Yall wrong for DAT!! Nah MY shit aint fake!! LOL
Miss Mouth: The album “Custom Cars & Cycles” is in stores now. Other than Rick, who else is on the album?
Gunplay: Bun B, Young Jeezy, The Game, Warren G, Gucci Mane, Mack 10, Masspike Miles
Miss Mouth: How did yall link up with Rick?
Gunplay: Mutual friends from the same city
Miss Mouth: What was life like for Triple C coming up in Miami? A lot of folks only hear about South Beach, the glitz and the glam. They very rarely are exposed to the other side of the bridge, so to speak.
Gunplay: It was hard coming up, like in any other city. Miami is a port, so we tend to have more drug related crimes. All we know is DOPE. No exaggeration.
Miss Mouth: Miami is supposed to be the home of the world’s most beautiful women but I’ve been there and trust me there are some ugly azz hoes there. Speaking of hoes, how is that groupie love treating Triple C?
Gunplay: I get groupie love and I love da groupies. Da ugly hoes not on my radar, couldn’t tell u how they look. Even though we all GODS children he just made some….different. hahahahaha
Miss Mouth: Are yall cool with other Miami artists? From the outside looking in, it doesn’t seem like there is much unity down there. Djs in Tampa show yall so much love in the club, is it the same on the home front?
Gunplay: yeah everybody cool. No real beef. Just a real competitive natured environment. We definitely support each other. I started an up and coming DJ coalition DON LOGAN DJ’S. They’ve been the ones supporting us from day one in the clubs and underground radio.
Miss Mouth: Triple C has been on their promo game hard bodied, so what is the craziest thing that has happened during your travels?
Gunplay: Couple shootouts.
Miss Mouth: A lot of new artists complain about radio, are you all getting adequate spins?
Gunplay: We’re grinding it up.
Miss Mouth: Speaking of radio, I want to ask you a few questions about just general sh*t I read on the net. Cool?
Gunplay: Ok
Miss Mouth: Radio shock jock Cthagod got fried, ironically after his well publicized interview with Beanie Sigel hit the net. What do you guys think, did Jay make the call to get him axed?
Gunplay: Who knows who cares? It aint me or mines.
Miss Mouth: I know that Rick is signed to Def Jam and has worked under Jay, have you guys worked with him also? Doesn’t it sound like something he would’ve done?
Gunplay: Yes I was blessed to work with JAY. I don’t know him that good to speculate.
Miss Mouth: In other Florida news, E-Class of Poe Boy Music Group is releasing a compilation album comprising of all Florida artists. Will Triple C be featured on it?
Gunplay: NO
Miss Mouth: Have any of you read Tia’s book?
Gunplay: She gotta book?
Miss Mouth: What are your thoughts on her new friendship with 50 Cent?
Gunplay: I don’t talk about my BOSSES family for entertainment.
Miss Mouth: Speaking of 50, he has been online going at you and bossman hard bodied, care to respond to his antics?
Gunplay: I’m under gag order!!!!!!!
Miss Mouth: Shyne was deported and Diddy has been relatively silent about it, what is your take on that?
Gunplay: I thought this was a TRIPLE C interview? LOL, I guess Diddy don’t give a fuck.
Miss Mouth: You guys are awesome and it’s been quite a pleasure. Any final words for my readers?
Gunplay: CUSTOM CARS AND CYCLES IS IN STORES NOW!!. I GUARNTEE THIS IS WUT DA STREETS BEEN MISSING!!! PROMISE!!
Miss Mouth: Well I wish you continued success and whenever yall are up in Tampa stop by Miss Mouth’s Gossip Grill. I will hook ya up? What are your favorite foods?
Gunplay: I love Italian food. But if u got a mean sauce on some ribs and can make a good potato salad i’m sold.
Miss Mouth: Everyone go and cop the album “Custom Cars & Cycles” the music is hot. This isn’t Triple C’s first album is it?
Gunplay: Yes, this is our 1st effort. And da games been good!
Miss Mouth: I forgot to ask about the production, what producers did you all work with?
Gunplay: Schife, the runners, the transformers, the Olympics, cool and dre,
Miss Mouth: Okay I can go on and on for days…they don’t call me Miss Mouth for nothing. So I will let you get back to work.
Gunplay: Thank you and GOD bless you.
MISS MOUTH TALKS TO WEST COAST CUTIE “ROCCETT”

MISS MOUTH: Hi Roccett, how are you babes?
ROCCETT: I’m good, thx for having me.
MISS MOUTH: For those that may not be familiar with you or your music, go ahead and give them the rundown
ROCCETT: My name Roccett, I’m from Carson, Cali. I make my music from my heart and make music for everyone. I been doing this music thing for a while now, it seem like forever to be honest. I am not with all the lieing, faking, and gimmiccs of this music game and in hip hop, that’s not what I am all about. I wake up everyday and be myself, so with me u get Roccett.
MISS MOUTH: Currently, you’re promoting your mixtape “The Free Agent” with DJ Drama. Tell me a little about that project.
ROCCETT: The Free Agent project is something me and Drama did. Basically the project just letting the labels and world know I’m a free agent, have no contractual situation with anyone. We put quality records on this project, got beats by Don Cannon, Drumma Boy, and other solid producers. I feel like Lebron James in his Free Agent year, excited too keep giving people good music, excited too keep grinden, and explore all my options. The tape been getting good feedbacc and response from the people. I am gonna work the tape for a while, hit the streets with the tape and make sure its heard. As a matter of fact post this free download link so we can share with all your listeners and website peoples.[Roccett and DJ Drama The Free Agent](http://www.zshare.net/download/698063280ba2f44f/)
MISS MOUTH: The market is so flooded with mixtapes, what differentiates yours from the rest?
ROCCETT: Quality music and like I said I am gonna work it for a while. Most people put out a mixtape, send it too the blogs, and websites and let it disappear in a matter of weeks. I feel music deserves more than that and I’m not gonna fall into the internet hype of everything is instantly old. So we will go city to city, event to event and hand out this tape and make sure the people get it.
MISS MOUTH: Any features?
ROCCETT: I got Bobby Valentino, Dion Primo, Dae One on hooks but really I wanted too give the people 100 percent Roccett. I have features and I work with everyone but I never been the artist too use features too gain attention or use a big name too carry my music.
MISS MOUTH: You’ve recorded mixtapes with Drama, Scream and a host of others DJs. How important is it to establish and maintain a good relationship with Djs as a new artist?
ROCCETT: Very important, DJ’s are the outlet too the masses, to the people. I mess with the DJ’s and respect there musical opinion. Shout too all the dj’s.
MISS MOUTH: You are originally from Carson, CA but live in Atlanta now right?
ROCCETT: Nah, I’m still in Cali, bacc and forth to the A though. I never all out lived in Atlanta even though a lot of people think that.
MISS MOUTH: How was the transition for you, moving from one coast to the other?
ROCCETT: I am one that has always traveled, been w the homies in different cities, doing what they do, so too me its all the same. Atl, St Louis, New York, wherever we gotta be at.
MISS MOUTH: Currently there is an explosion of artists from L.A getting it in, you included, making an impact on the industry. But I hear you don’t like to be referred to as a “West Coast Artist.” Why is that?
ROCCETT: I don’t just make my music for any region, I make it for everyone. Anyone that can relate too my music is who my music is for. Putting a label and a limit on music only boxes your music in. I want too be known as a craccin or great artist that happens too be from the West Coast. Music is universal, global.
MISS MOUTH: Now I spoke with Nipsey bout the prevalent gang culture in L.A, in what ways did or does it influence your music?
ROCCETT: influences it heavily because I talk about what I know, what I experienced, my environment, my way of life in my music. In southern califorina u can’t escape the reality of gangs. Its what your taught as a youngster, what u grow up in, so if my music didn’t have that influence, my music wouldn’t be real.
MISS MOUTH: The internet plays a huge factor in how music is being promoted, tell me a little about RoccettTV and Iamroccet.com
ROCCETT: www.iamroccett.com and Roccett TV are outlets for my fans too stay up to date with what I got going on in my career. Iamroccett.com is also a social network in which others can join and upload there own profile and interact with others. They both just great ways to promote me and my Get Your Green Up movement. We also have www.myspace.com/roccett, www.twitter.com/iamroccett, I will always give people new music, videos, interviews, etc through these outlets. Also support and buy my music at www.itunes.com/roccett
MISS MOUTH: You’re a business man in general, not just dealing with music huh? What’s good with Makaveli Clothing?
ROCCETT: I am a Makaveli Branded Sponsored artist, I support the clothing brand and anything too do with Tupac is obviously an honor for me. I have done ads, spoke at events, community related things with Makaveli Branded.
MISS MOUTH: Roccett, you are fresh off of CTE Records, what directly caused you to leave?
ROCCETT: I really didn’t feel like Jeezy or the label did enough or did what they were supposed too do too help me as an artist that was on there roster. It was a lot of repeat conversations without any action. And I am not one just too sit around and wait or be the sidekicc, that’s not how I’m built.
MISS MOUTH: Were you the only artist unhappy and are other artists soon to follow suit?
ROCCETT: I def wasn’t the only artist unhappy but I can’t speak for other artists.
MISS MOUTH: Has your departure from the label affected your relationship with Jeezy? If so, in what ways?
ROCCETT: We haven’t spoke so I wouldn’t know. The last time we spoke he said me and him was gonna get in the studio and work and then I never heard bacc. I saw cuzz in Atl at a video shoot and at some events, he didn’t speak so I couldn’t tell u how he feels or am I worried about that.
MISS MOUTH: It’s been said that many artists tend to sign “a signature” artist from the West Coast as a means of protection. What does that mean? Do you feel as if that’s the case with Jeezy?
ROCCETT: I knew Jeezy before I signed too him, I really can’t say why he signed me or why he didn’t want too help me. I really don’t worry about it, he def is strategical and knew what he was doing ill put it that way.
MISS MOUTH: Did you leave before Bigga Rankins was appointed V.P?
ROCCETT: Yeah I did, that’s a new situation.
MISS MOUTH: Can he improve the situation for artists over at the label?
ROCCETT: Yeah he can. Any help will help.
MISS MOUTH: You released a record called “Letter 2 Jeezy.” Tell me about that record and your thought process while writing it?
ROCCETT: Dear Jeezy, Dear Meech was really a therapy record for me, I was in the studio had some stuff on my chest and I let it out. The response I got was crazy but really wasn’t done for that. I didn’t have any thought process just speak my mind on the tracc.
MISS MOUTH: So ultimately, why isn’t Jeezy effectively pushing his artists, choice or circumstance?
ROCCETT: Off course its choice, he controls his career, he control who he does records with, he is smart and a good businessman when it comes too his own career, he knows exactly what he is doing.
MISS MOUTH: What did you think when he publically squashed his long running feud with Gucci?
ROCCETT: I think rap is WWF, put it this way if your homie got killed, would u be cool with the people responsible for the killing?
